Groudon and Ho-Oh

GamePress has the stats and info for Groudon in the Raid boss file, including a meager 2% catch rate. Is this from experience, or from a data mine? And does anyone have a firm date on when Ho-Oh is going to fade into the Sunset? I've done well with Ho-Oh, have more of them (7) than all the other legendaries put together. But I'd love to get a weather buffed one. Today was clear, but two players had lags and dropouts, so we failed. Rain tomorrow, windy Wednesday, which might make Solar Beam easier (since Dragonite benefits from wind, while only Brave Bird gets help).

So any firm dates? Any references for those dates? And will Groudon replace Ho-Oh when it changes over?

If you have rain tomorrow and windy on Wednesday, you won’t be able to catch a weather buffed Ho-oh. Needs to be clear skies.

Ho-oh is flying/fire, so one should be able to catch weather buffed ho-oh's in windy/clear/sunny weather.

Oh yea. Oops my bad. I’m so used to only seeing clear skies on my end and totally forgot the weather buff towards it’s flying typing.

Anyone know what’s the minimum speed the wind needs to be to get that icon? It’ll get windy here and I can see white wind steaks in game around me, but the icon still won’t change from clear skies.

I'm pretty sure Groudon's 2% catch rate was from the data mine, since it's not in the game yet. As for Groudon's release, no one really knows when Niantic will release it, as well as the other legendaries. Let's see what Niantic does after Ho-oh is done this Thursday.

Thanks - this is what I was looking for. Every other report of two days was just a report, not the original information from the horse's mouth. Great. So Ho-Oh is around until 4:00 PM EST on Thursday.

Ho-Oh was extended by 2 days, so it leaves on the 14th.
Nobody knows about Groudon, nothing official has been said.
Any info we have for Groudon or any other unreleased pokemon is always from data mines. Except the stats and potential movepools which we can derive from the handhelds.
