Great throw or curve normal throw?
What is increasing the chance of a catch? At the moment my curve throws kind of suck. So I dont know what to try on catching raid bosses.
Any ideas whats the higher percentage?

I used to have trouble consistently throwing curve balls until recently, when I read that you only have to cross the central imaginary vertical line. Since then I lop straight balls from a point slightly offset to the left to hit the Pokémon slightly in the right of the circle, it does not spin the ball but they count as curve balls.
I never could master the spin and throw curveball (lag makes it too difficult and I cannot know if I should let it go or it's too early, and then I end up throwing it flying to kingdom come). So I just throw from the sides and it usually lands on the opposite side. But it's hell when the target is far away and keeps staying in the middle.
