The great EX Raidpass drought

The summer of 2017 is known for the great stardust, rare candy, TM and golden razzberryy drought. But now there is a new drought upon us. We played for hours and hours with family, friends and even complete strangers to succeed in raids, we went to raid after raid but what for?

Most of us have their gen 1 dex complete (apart from regionals) but for one, one and only pokemon.

Have you already aquired an EX Raidpass? Does anybody have some news about the rollout of these passes for the rest of the world?

Am I the only one that doesn't seem to worry about when EX raidpasses will become available to the bigger audience?

I agree. If I don't get a Mewtwo for another few weeks, I'm okay with that.

I did do a couple of raids at a Sprint-sponsored gym over the weekend, though, just in case.

We don't even have a sponsored gym in my town, so who knows how long I'll be waiting. I'm not that worried about it.

Mewtwo should remain Rare, with a capital R. Rare as in "if you win only one raid each day, you might get one invite every second month". They spoiled the Legendaries by making them as common as Pidgeys; after the second bird I stopped caring about them.

I could not agree more. I found the safari event or whatever Niantic called it equally stupid. One might not like the concept as such, but as long as certain mons are supposed to be regional, they better remain regional. Apart from my "home" regional mon, I have one that I caught in its native region during a trip (and of which I am real proud) and tons which I recently caught in my home town (and which I rather hate) (but not enough to send them all away, shame on me for my weakness...).

I think the safari events are a nice way of catching regionals you'd probably never get otherwise, but legendaries should've remained legendary.

I'm OK with Mewtwo raids being rare IF they do the following:

1) Not limit them to sponsored gyms - people perceived to be under 13 can't even see sponsored gyms, let alone raid them.

2) Not limit them to big cities. Rural and small town players get screwed hard enough as it is.

It should be rare but it's not if some already have 2, because the first ex raid qualified them for the next.

I would prefer the system be fair (this system is very flawed) as opposed to how punishing it has been so far.

Also, why announce a feature that is clearly not ready?

And when it is ready, why not let us know it will only be offered at sponsored locations for some duration so we can travel to those get Niantic more $$$?

You are missing 2 gen 1 pokemon other than the regional. Mew also exists. Don't forget about the wee one

Do you realize that some of us can't get any legendaries at all, because we don't have enough others available for those raids? So we've had a legendary drought all summer.

I can only speak for myself, of course, but I've decided to just not give a damn (anymore). Same for dex entries (lacking most regionals and Unown as well). Is there a contest who can complete their dex first?

Relax, EX raids will come to all gyms, probably right after the event ends. Anything else makes little sense (hmm... neither does having legendary raids in gyms on remote hiking trails... but they happen?!)

P.S. I'm sure glad there is finally a real event again that is available to everyone.
