Well you're obviously a person that looks to the future, that being said there is another evolution for porygon later on in Porygon Z. I don't think Porygon 2 is that important in the current meta to worry too much about it so maybe just wait? I think unless you're desperate to fill the pokedex spot I'd wait... If you can't just evolve the one with the highest possible cp in the end and enjoy having it. There's plenty time to hatch more and get more upgrades unless you're planning on quitting anytime soon ;)

Up-Graaaaaade
So I picked up my first Up-Grade today (hallelujah praise the Lord), and naturally I'm desperate to use it, but I'm trying to weigh up whether I should. Could really use some opinions. These are my options:
lvl20 A10 D11 H14 (78%) (hatch)
lvl29 A11 D8 H11 (67%)
...Or wait. I caught loads of Porygon during the Valentines event, but all the good IVs I found were really low level, so these two are the best of what I've had. Now Porygon is extremely rare again, so chances of getting a better one is probably quite slim. I wouldn't be expecting it to feature in any other events any time soon, and by the time I do get a better one there's a chance I'll have found another Up-Grade. Should I go for it? If so, which one? I have 267 candy btw.

I'm always thinking about the future with this game ha. A lot of my favourites will be introduced in gen 4 so I'll be sticking around at least until then! Porygon-Z is definitely something I'm thinking about. I'm not opposed to waiting, it's just not knowing how long it would be for. I'll probably wait it out a bit and hope I pick up another Up-Grade. If I do I'll evolve the higher CP one and wait for a better one to spend the rest of my candies on. Appreciate the feedback. :)
I didn't. I think I caught 2 that were 82%+ they were both below 200CP, and I figured I'd be better off with my 78% hatch. I was also certain I would get better ones given that they were so common at the time. In hindsight it was probably a mistake, but I'm still not sure I would've powered them up from such a low level.
