GP suggestion

It would be greatly appreciated if GP can provide the short-man guidance soon after a new raid boss is introduced, like recent Togetic and Giratina.

Dont disagree, but theres probably a lot more that goes into making raid guides than we'd think there are. That or because they are hard and easy respectively (like how sharpedo didnt get a solo guide until recently because it was such a joke)

Togetic's basically an ultra friendship and high level MM metagross required duo.

It is totally understood especially as Gen 4 is just released there is also tons of rating works to do. Just want to express the eager for those duo or trio guides and hope maybe they can give them some priority if possible.

Well, roughly you can use pokebattler to get an estimate:

Time to win
Tier 5 below 870 = don’t time out trioing
Tier 4 below 340 = don’t time out duoing

Pokemons should all try to be below the magic number 870 or 340.

Numbers of deaths:
below 6, 12, 18 deaths = you need 1,2,3 teams.

For example: a rayquaza with 7 deaths means = it will mean you will get closer to fainting out. A tyranitar with 3 deaths means you will get closer to live trough the battle without fainting all 6.

This gives a crude estimation that works pretty good but guides need to consider weather. Different move set and often you need to give an own appraisal of benefit va cost, if you can see via auto select what moves the raid boss has etc, that takes time.

But if you want a quick estimation use the crude pokebattler method

Understand that, been wanting a guide to plan doing those myself, especially with double candy Togetic raids. Everyone probably very eager to do those raids shortman'd,

it's not too hard to search for the highest dps option for a particular boss. Bar the obvious exceptions like deoxys, everything else is a good guidance of what you can possibly use, and whether or not one counter is supreme or not requires some basic pokemon knowledge (eg ttar better than houndoom or absol)

You can also use both defense stat to extrapolate the difficulty. Rayquaza was a very easy duo for high levels. Latios pushed them to the limits for a duo. Extrapolating this for giratina we see an equal defense stat with latios but lower attack, inferring you can duo it with some difficulty. Same technique can be used to compare solo difficulties.

Good guides take time to prepare and write.

Three cheers for the GamePress editors!

Seriously!?!? Does anyone over LV 30 actually need a guide in order to figure out what to raid with!??!? Besides If you are using the frequently inaccurate game press stats for making a short man squad you probably shouldn’t be short manning anything...

You can figure out how to shortman any new raid in a few minutes with pokebattler or gobattlesim. I get that GP's guides may make it easier, but it's a bit unreasonable to ask them to be quick about it when there's an tool on this very site that lets you see for yourself if you're in a hurry.

If you want a raid-boss guide asap, why don't you look up the stats and use them to write a guide? Then you can give it to GP so they can put up a guide faster
