Got shedinja from research breakthrough

Hi,
When I claimed my research breakthrough (about an hour ago), I got my third Shedinja. I didn't want it, and I had waited to claim my breakthrough to get one of the legendary dogs/birds.

Should I contact Niantic about this?

Do you know where I can send it to them? I was thinking a bug report (https://support.pokemongo.nianticlabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/115008306667), but I'm not sure if that's the right place to send it to them, since it says "Note: In most cases, we are not able send a personalized response to your bug report submission, but rest assured that we review each bug report and use this information to improve the Pokémon GO experience."

I did too on December 1.

I used a task that I had completed on Nov. 30, but didn't "claim reward" and earn the 7th stamp until Dec. 1, thinking I would get a non-Shedinja.

When did you complete the task you ultimately used to claim the research breakthrough?

I think we're stuck (not that Niantic would do anything except send you a message saying, "Sorry you couldn't catch that shiny you wanted", and give you a couple of incense).

You might be able to get raid passes as compensation. No chance at those legendaries though, unfortunately.

So basically you want to be compensated for not being able to tell time?

Pretty sure you're the one who can't tell time, based on the time stamp of his post.

Don't contact Niantic and next time read the times in the news when the new rewards roll out. They don't inmediately change at midnight. I know it's stupid but it's the way it is.
Sadly mistakes like these are the only way we learn the unnecesary convoluted systems regarding claiming research rewards :(

If he evolved it when he said he did (~2am Central USA time on December 2), I don't think there is anywhere in the world that it shouldn't have rolled over to the new rewards.

Did you claim the last STAMP at that time, or just claim the Breakthrough Box?

I've heard conflicting reports of the BOX being set at the time of claiming the last STAMP. So if you claimed the STAMP prior to 1pm PST December 1, but didn't claim the BOX until December 2, that might be what the problem was.

Regardless, I didn't read through the announcement properly and claimed the Research Box right when I got up on December 1, and instead of seeing a Suicune, I saw a 67% Shedinga. Then I sat there and stared at my phone for a few minutes as my brain was unable to process what it was seeing because I hadn't primed it with Coffee. (which, I should add, would NOT have helped me in this situation to avoid getting Shedinja. It just would have meant I would have figured out where I bleeped up much faster than I did.)

Moral of the Story: READ THE ENTIRE ANNOUNCEMENT, FG! READ IT ALL!

(on the bright side, I didn't get a Suicune.)
