Got a candy for feeding my Dragonite?

So I don't know what happened, I was doing my gym run on my way to work and testing this new gym sytem (for me it is not good, small area, low amount of gyms, spoofers, you have to keep feeding mon to get a single coin per hour, etc..), but when I got to the second gym where I could put a mon I put my 3030 Dragonite, inmeditaley dropped around 200-300CP as my Blissey had done, so I used a Nanab Berry to make him full motivation again, but something strange happened, it gave me a dratini candy a part from the dust bonus! Someone else has seen this behaviour? It is something intended to happen or just a glitch? I have not read anywhere that you could get candy for feeding a mon, only read about the rare candy when defeating a raid boss..

Really? Then I woud like to put in a tyranitar and keep feeding...

I don't think chances are very high, or probably just a glitch/bug I had, I don't know what happened but I have feed like 15 times on my way to work to get rid of some Nanabs and that was the only time I got a candy and. I don't know what just happened, maybe some else can bring more insight into this.

Nope, Ampharos. And also checked twice, I had 188 Dratini candy yesterday, found a Dratini, pinaped it, went to 194 (never transfer them, I make them favourite instantly in order to save for a possible 2xtransfer candy event), and after feeding the Dragonite checked my candies and had 195 instead.

I did read that there is a chance of getting a candy when feeding berries to pokemon, but I think it's a small one too.

Well that's one way to assure teammates will feed your mons. Put good and rare ones in!

I would love to see more Ampharos in my gyms! Only one Mareep caught since gen2 release, got my Ampharos from hatches but she is hungry and need a lot of candies to power her up!
