Goodbye Game Press Community and Thank you!
Not a question but a farewell and thank you post.
I always preach "if you don't like the game don't play it" whenever I see negative comments. Well, I don't like how the game as turned out and all my friends that I played with since July 2016 no longer play so it's time for me to practice what I preach. The new group of casuals who are flooding this game don't comprehend the dynamics of the game and I seem strange to them. For instance I was at a Tyranitar raid few weeks ago. 2 lvl 38s showed up so I was confident that we could 3 man it no problem. It was cloudy and we beat it with 3 seconds left. I come to find out they had no clue what to use and their best fighting type was a primeape. It's crazy to think noobs like this could reach such a high level.
Not being able to TM to exclusive moves, Not being able to solo T4 and T5 raids and Toxic Admins/Community is really pushing me away. Remember the times when we reached out to Facebook groups because we wanted to not because we had to?
Anyways, I wanted to thank Gamepress and everyone for the information they posted. I wouldn't understand anything of this game if it wasn't for all the detail. Even want to thank Niantic. I met a lot of new friends and I even reached out to them yesterday. Come to find out they are in a clan on a console game and are excited that I'll be joining them soon!
Before I go I took a Nostalgia trip thru all my posts check them out below.
I used gamepress to check for updates and Pokemon list but never left anything on the Q&A untill the 1 year anniveseray

This game is a piece of SHIT and everyone knows it. I believe you had made the correct decisions here because at this point on this game is the hopeless despair spiral.
Added to what they did to the new pokemon (Giving them Rapidash or Kingler esque moves) for the reason of either (1. Future community days 2. They didn't want you to spend anything in them) makes everything felt even worse for me.
What seems to be even worse is that Pokemon seemed to be insanely hard to catch now, it takes around 2-3 balls to catch a single pokemon because if i throw them they attack and if i do not throw them they do not seem to move. It takes around 40+ balls to catch 10 or so pokemon. This is not acceptable.
Despair and insanity sums this game up for me, and i shouldn't had been played or even touched it in the first place. Every decision Niantic makes conveys hopelessness and it shows.
I was downtown at a street festival during the first hour of Gengar raids...tried Shadowball and two random in the crowd trainers levels 36 and 36 were in the lobby. So 40, 36, 36 with no friend bonus...fail. Lucky 20 minutes later relobby same gym with my best friend spare and a 34 jumped in to help. We won somewhat easy...lesson, we will soon be completely dependent on friend damage bonuses, for yourself and the bonus your friend gets.
I had three Shadowball Mewtwo but I didn't change them to confusion--max 15a/14/15, max 15/11/15, level 39 12/14/12. Two max SC Gengar 14/12/11 and 14/4/15. Something comparable in dps quality as a 6th (another M2 or Gengar?) but also very vulnerable to Shadowball Gengar.
I didn't have a specific 2nd party ready since I didn't know if I could do many (or any) Gengar raids. My autopick team looked to be SD/SE Tyranitars, so other trainers might have been using those bc I saw several Ttars used. As the clock was winding down I either used SD/SE or tried to switch to a previously prepared giratina raid team, can't remember...I was anticipating to be able to best friend duo non-shadowball between 1.95 and 2.10 trainer difficulty, although I didn't prepare battle parties in a complete enough way to really do it.
