Good Cheap Phone for PoGo (help!)

I bet most of you have some expensive phone, but does anyone have relatively cheap phone for PoGo?
Or does anyone know which phone would run PoGo smoothly and it's cheap, let's say 200$ and under?
I have Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE and it runs PoGo, but this game update isn't so good for this phone anymore.
Battery runs out of charge maybe in 1 hour when PoGo is on. Pokemon Gym window (all six Pokemons there) is heavy for my phone, so I am thinking of a new one, but cheap, because I mainly want it only for PoGo. I am not getting rid of my current phone. So phone which is more like CPU, GPU and RAM wise, is what I'm looking for.

Thanks! (:

I'm using Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime for $140. Its Ram is 3 GB and proc Snapdragon 625. It holds around 6-7 hours with battery saver turn on.

Battery isn't so much problem. I want game run smoothly, no lags, no slideshow gaming. But thanks.

How it runs after this latest update? Does Pokemon Gym windows lags or do "slideshow" effect (you know those 6 pokemons in the same screen)?
I mean, little slideshow isn't that bad, because I can't except the best possible performance since it's under 200$.
But surely I know this phone is better than my current one.

I'm sorry I cant answer it rite now since there is no raid battle near here and there are only max 3 trainers (including me) when taking down a gym. So far I never experience that window lag, but to minimize that I recommend a higher spec :D

Most phones have 2000-2200 mAh try to get a phone with 3000 this will last way longer! Might not be cheaper but the battery life is 1/3 more than normal phones, like the one below would have a huge battery life

Huawei Y6 Pro
- cheap (in my country 100 euros = 111 dollars)
- big battery 4000mAh

Compared to my current phone's specs, I have to skip this one. Only the battery seems to be better, so nah.

THE PROBLEM IS: GAME MUST WORK SMOOTHLY AND QUICKLY, no Lags, No Network Errors!!!
Battery is not an issue.
I Want a Phone just like that too
(mine has 4gb Ram, but fighting gyms is kinda impossible atm, cause of Network Errors and Lags).

may I ask what phone do you have?
I mean 4GB ram is a lot. Is ur CPU (mainly) or GPU just so bad? :o

I have a Asus Zenfone 2, it's not up to date Phone, I believe it came out 2015.
4 Gb Ram
2.3 GHz CPU
Android 5.0 might be "old" ???

I am wordless if ur game doesnt run well with those specs.
I don't know, maybe it's just that Quad-core CPU and ur GPU which aren't good enough lol idk
To me price means a lot so I think stick with idea to buy that "Xiaomi redmi 4 pro prime"
Snapdragon 625 Octa Core 2.0GHz CPU is told to be good, but I can't really test it so gotta buy it...

I feel your pain because I'm thinking of buying a new phone myself.
I will try to clean my phone of all Apps and files I can get rid of (maybe reset all?).

My Huawei Y6 Pro never had any problems in game and also battery is big.

After certain updates they game just has gone worst and worst.
And yes, gym fights are ridiculous currently.

Do you think internet connection might be an issue too for lags?
(I believe that mine is fine, but start doubting)
