Good and bad trades

What good trades have you pulled off, and what bad ones? Trading with alts doesn't count.

Good trades for me;

Groudon for shiny Wingull. Traded out a low IV Groudon i didn't need. Given my horrible luck for catching wild shinys this is good for me.

Shiny ho-oh for shiny Articuno. After skipping Articuno day i traded a ho-oh to get one, and it turned out lucky. Not great IV's but still happy with that.

Shiny Moltres for Shiny Kagikarp. I've seen almost 2000 karps and none were shiny. I'm probably never going to find a wild one so needed this trade.

Bad trades;
Shiny Zapdos for Shiny Pikachu. Missed pikachu day so used up a shiny Zap for one. Serves me right for missing community day.

Rhydon for Rhydon. They went lucky, mine was in the 70's, the other persons in the 90's. Probably the worst trade i've made.

Lucky Squirtle. I have a lucky Squirtle. i don't know what i traded this for but it's a waste of a guaranteed lucky.

Shiny Jolteon for Shiny Vaporeon. Did this one purely as a favor for someone else, i never needed shiny vaporeon at this time. my altruism cost me 80,000 stardust. At least it didn't go lucky.

Trading a tyrantiar for dragonite, they got a 96, max atk/hp tyranitar, I got a 15/4/3 dragonite. traded chansey for chansey, Electabuzz for electabuzz and trapinch for rhydon, all luckies, but other than that, all my trades have ended in trash

Got a shiny togepi for Rayquaza trade lined up, I have 2 shiny togepi so I dont need a second plus the other guy realy likes togepi, rather him get more use and appreciation for it also I never got a rayquaza so heres to hoping my luck turns for the better here

From a bystanders perspective I'd reserve that shiny Togepi for a better trade in the future.

Shiny Togepi is insanely rare to obtain as it can only come from eggs. Plus Rayquaza will definitely make a come back in the future possibly with its shiny form included like how Kyogre did.

There's no telling when you might get another shiny Togepi...

I know they are very rare but I already have a second one and it had good IV's. My mentality is that I am never going to power up one of them because I already have a better one (the one im trading doenst have the best iv's) that I am going to be using. I'd rather someone else make better use and have more appreciation in that use for it. I know it isnt the most sensible thing to do and the rayquaza isnt really the *only thing* the trades for, its a few other pokemon as well, but its just easier to say the main one than the lsit of about 3-5 others

Dude, Id die for a shiny Togepi, heck Id give you several shinies and/or legacy sets and you wanna give it away for a fricking Rayquaza? What a waste...

Shiny togepi (didn't even know you could get them) for ray is an awful trade. You're being ripped off there.

Only thing i'd trade a shiny togepi for is another shiny baby pokemon, or possibly a non event unown.

That Ray better be maxed out before the trade because otherwise it's not even nearly worth as much as the shiny Togepi.

Bad Trades:
- Traded for 38 Porygons and only one lucky, and it was only 12/14/11
- Traded 17 Ralts and 9 Togepi and no lucky yet
- Swapped 6 Mewtwos and no lucky/good IV yet

Meh Trades:
- Swapped Ho-Ohs and went lucky, mine was 10/11/12 and friend got a 15/14/11.
- Swapped Body Slam Snorlaxes and got a 11/12/12 and friend got a 96%
- Traded Latias for Shiny Zapdos, I got 3/10/12 and friend got a 89% Latias.
Traded over 200 Larvitar, got a lot of luckies but nothing over 84% or 15 Attack

Good Trades:
Swapped Beldums and got a lucky 93%
Traded a Machop for a Wailmer and got a 98% lucky Machop

Best Trade:
Traded my Ralts for a Beldum, got a perfect lucky Beldum!

Coming from someone who has done almost 2,3k trades, here are my most memorable:

Shiny Eevee for shiny Charizard - we traded over 2 days, each shiny vs an old Kingdra. Although my Charizard wasnt lucky, I now have a 15 15 12 shiny BB Charizard at max lvl. :)

Shiny Kyogre vs shiny FP Venusaur - Got a lucky 15 14 14 Venusaur.

Bad trades:

Exchanged old DB DC Dnites with my besty - he got a 96 15 A and HP one, I got a 73% one...

We also traded our only shiny Magikarps, despite of being more than one year old they didnt get lucky and we both gut 40ish Ive.

Best trades (for me):

Part of a 2-day trade for increased lucky chance, I traded a Seaking for a shiny DM Dragonite that went lucky.

I forgot what I gave, but I got a L31 Larvitar with a 14a and 15HP IV. Immediate evolve as another B/C Ttar.

Another "I forgot," but I got a L20 Bagon that retained upper 89% IVs despite not going lucky. 15a to boot.

Bad trade:

Single-handedly the worst trade I've made trading a shiny Articuno for a Shiny Kyogre since I missed out of Kyogre and he missed Articuno day. The Kyogre I got had perfect defense, a 13HP... and a six for attack. SIX. At least one of us got out ahead, as the Articuno ended up with perfect attack.

I just traded for a Shiny Zapdos that I promised myself I'd max out. Attack IV: 3 (lowest possible)

Welp..............here goes!

Bad trades: About 2500 trades where lucky didn't trigger, neither side got random good IV rerolls and the candy from the trade wasn't useful.

Good trades: The other 770 trades I've made.

Best trade: Completed my Gen 1 pokedex with a lucky Tauros and my friend got a lucky Unown out of the deal.

Hmm, thats all from 3300 trades? Im sure you had some ridicolous trades, where you got so lucky, that its almost unfair. :)

Nice Tauros though, still chasing one.

There have been some nice ones to be sure, like 100% non-lucky Tyranitar, but it would've taken too much time trying to remember everything. I just really love seeing the lucky background.

I traded a Metang for a Pinsir from sept 2016 and they got lucky. I never caught a good Pinsir but somehow managed to have over 100 Pinsir candies despite cathching only 7. Probably eggs hatching in a double candy event or something.

Not exceptional, but still very happy with that. The Pinsir is 13/10/13 a/d/s but good enough for me and my only good bug! Powered this one up for Mewtwo and possible future Exeggutor or other psychic mons raids. Plus in that trade I got 3 Beldum candies which will be useful for my not so good but lucky Beldum :)
