A-Golem max out?

Hatched a 96% (15/13/15) A-Geodude, have 2.35 mil dust and candy is no issue. Yay or nay for maxing this dude, given Moltres day is here and I only have two maxed rock attackers?

I have 1x Double rock ttar max (98iv) and 1x double rock golem max (93iv).

For the groups I'm fighting in, it's likely Moltres will only last two pokemon, however.

Yes. It outperforms K-golem in most situations.

If it's just going to be you and your buddy Saturday doing Moltres then yes

If it's going to be you and 6 other people then no.

I wouldn’t. Moltres day will be tier 4 boss CP and if you’re going to be with a large group you probably won’t need a maxed one.

That said, it wouldn’t hurt to have more rock attackers, but you’d be better off saving your dust for gen 4. We’re likely to get two new rock powerhouses then, in Rampardos and Rhyperior.

There’s also no imminent legendary that’s weak to rock, so depending on the other raid bosses, you might not even need to invest in those.

Basically just start with your Tyranitar, follow with Golem, then use what you have. I’m leading with my 3 rock Tyranitar, followed by an Alolan Golem, Kanto Golem, and Regirock so I don’t have to deal with fainting out (although I highly doubt I’ll even get to the Golems).

Definitely! Just got a second A-geodude with cp 644, which is even worse than my previous one (cp 655). Still waiting for the "one".

Well, I'm assuming you are going to duo Moltres on Saturday like me without enough SD Ttar. Otherwise I won't say it's a definite investment but still worth it.

Get another A-geodude with exactly the same cp 644. What a trash.

I have 12 maxed SD Ttar but I'll max a couple lucky A-Golem anyways because I wanna be the very best and it drips swag

I have 5 at exactly level 35, just completed that today, four of them 14/15 Attack but otherwise lacking in stats, other level 35 10a/14/14...BUT I still have one more 14a/15/13 at level 18, started at level 7...

Probably will stay with the 5, but if I were the OP I’d wait til you get a lucky A-Golem and max it for fun (I’ve also never had more than 250k stardust at any one time, 50k catches and 1800 hatches)

That's impressive..... and it seems just a bit excessive. Why max out 12? Have you ever had a need for a full B Team of maxed Tyranitar?

this here is how to play PoGo. live in the fucking moment and wreak havoc!

What on earth would you need 12 for? Nonetheless it's extremely impressive that you've assembled a team like that.

You're having trouble using max revive due to connection issue or device limitation (pretty much like me) ?
Then, it is kinda make a sense..

Remember that a maxed Golem is only about as good as level 30 SD Tyranitar. If you have those, it's hard to justify powering up Golems other than for fun. If you want do it for fun though, don't let anyone stop you.

It sounds like you won't need to power it up for Moltres day, so I wouldn't suggest powering it up. Evolving it to Alolan Golem, TM it to double Rock Moves if you have enough rock moves for that, if not, you still get Super Effective damage against Moltres. Then use it as your 3rd Attacker.

Having said that, if I had that A-Geodude, I would have probably called in sick today at work just so I could grind out about a million Stardust to justify powering it up right to Level 40, even though I've got 4 Level 30+ Smackdown/Stone Edge TTars and 4 Rock Throw/Stone Edge or Rock Blast Golems at Level 35 already. So "do as I say", not "do as I would probably do if I was in your shoes because I get weak in the knee's for moustaches".
