Gold Gym badges doesn't increase chances of rare rewards?

Level 36 Trainer

Just finished a Flareon raid at a Gym I've earned a Gold Gym at and got the following:
- Revives
- Golden Razz
- Rare candy

No TM :(

The gym was same team (Mystic) and I contributed the most damage (received 13 Premier balls). One lower-level (lvl 25, Mystic) player also joined but they lost midway through as I completed it Solo.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Is TM really that random?

"That random?" Random does not have a degree, it is either random or it is not.

True, but that does not answer my question :D

Pretty sure gold medals just give an extra item when you hit a stop.

I did 7 level 4 raids before my first TM from a level 4. I soloed 5 straight level 3 raids with no TMs. I have gotten TMs from Magikarps. Gyms have been owned by different teams and I have had different level badges. Does that answer your question?

Not that random, just a little bit.

You get a random selection, from a pool of possibilities that can have specific chances allocated.

This results in each prize pool being random...but over a larger sample group then patterns will occur that can be used to indicate chance/possibility of a specific item.

It remains random, but the possibility of TM is massively increased in the second prize pool selection.
