I finally got my Go Plus few days ago. I've bought it mostly to hatch eggs. It tracks distance excellent but only when my phone screen is on. When I lock it I can catch mons, spin pokestops but the distance isn't tracked almost at all.
This is how I tested it: I walked straight 1 km with my phone unlocked - it tracked 1 km. Then I've walked the same route with screen locked, waited few minutes, opened the phone and it tracked only about 0,1 km. Is it a bug or there's some setting I'm missing?
Is it normal that when I'm unlocking my phone Po Go avatar is running like crazy or teleport (depending distance I've walked) from previous to my present location?
Last question: After I finish playing I'm supposed to turn off Go Plus in a certain way to save its battery?

Sometimes my distance need time to update after I unlock the phone. You write that you wait a few minutes before unlocking phone. Instead try to wait a few min after unlocking the phone.
My avatar also teleports from the previous location
On my android phone I can pull down the top menu and theres an option there to stop the Goplus if its running. Or switching off bluethooth will also work I guess.
