Are you sure? I thought about it but never found any hard evidence. The only thing I found was a group of famous people around here that are almost always present in a gym like from far east corner to the west.. the chanes a gym has a couple or more of those players is really close to 100%. Wouldnt be surprised if each of those players had like 40-50+ mons in gyms at the same time
It depends on your local area - in our city, it's pretty evenly matched. There are Instinct towers, Mystic towers, and Valor towers...
In other cities, one team dominates.
As a whole, Mystic has the most users, and Instinct has the least. In our local area, that is also true. However, it seems Mystic players are less serious and don't work together well. I'm Valor, and we have a chat going in the area that keeps us organized. If one of our gyms in under attack, we will know. If one needs to be prestiged up, we will be informed.
Our organization keeps us competitive despite inferior numbers, and the group helps me hold gyms that I don't need to fight for on a daily basis. I'd say I average 6-8 gyms per day, and some of my more serious teammates regularly hold 12-15.
Mystic seriously needs more coop action where I live. Its obvious when a team groups and I can see it clearly when a gym I take down gets back up to lvl 5 or 6 with different mons backing each other. Instinct does that often and valor ocasionally but mystics around here are all solo players that only put something in a gym if it already has a spot. If it needs prestiging forget it xD I would love to play whith other people but I cant find any teammates or any online groups for my region.. if I could find only one person we could at least annoy instincts by taking down some lvl 10 gyms more efficiently lol
