Glitches with new Info? (Weather, Sprites, etc.)

So just caught a Kakuna, under Cloudy conditions and got 375 Stardust even though when I click on the Weather icon, it doesn't say Bug types get bonuses in Cloudy weather. I don't see any notes in the Pokedex about any Weather bonuses, so I can't see if Kakuna (and Bug in general) is supposed to get a bonus in Cloudy weather.

Interestingly the Kakuna was surrounded by a Ring, just like a ring on a Pokestop I haven't spun ever (or recently - not sure when that resets, but it does seem to reset), which is nice to see that there's an obvious sign that one Pokémon is more useful to catch at the time than another.

Also just caught a Level 30 Grimer (with a bonus for Cloudy)... for a Level 27 account.

Lastly, I've got 2 "missing" icons on my Nearby Pokémon list. It's like the game forgot to insert the Sprite (even the shaded sprite) onto the map, but is letting me know that there are Pokémon there. I can tap on them, highlight them on the map, etc, just like all other Pokémon, but I have no idea what they are - no sprite at all.

Weird. Not complaining, just weird.
