I just wondering how many gift can you accept and give a day? Also I just wanted to know how can I make my ho oh stronger besides powering it up?

No giving upper limit but you can keep at most 10 gifts in your bag at the same time. The limit for the gifts you can open in a day is 20.

Congrats! It would be even luckier if it's shiny lol.

The upper limit for sending should be 100 and pokémon only level up by powering up.

"Stronger" is a vague expression. You can TM a mon to learn its best or most useful move. However for Ho-oh there's no such case. It lacks the best moves in the pool.

Ho-Oh's moveset makes a big difference for its different use cases. It needs to be ES/BB for Machamp anchoring, ES/SoB for fighting Blizzard Kyogre and SW/SoB to be a slow but certain Blissey-killer.

You may open 20 gifts in a day.

In my experience there seem to be no limit for giving gifts, however there is certainly a cap on recieving gifts from pokestops. After 100 gifts you do not get anymore that day.

So I guess you may give out 10 saved from yesterday together with the 100 from today for a total of 110 in a day.
