lvl20 a12d12h13 shadow claw/shadow ball

Although after researching his type advantages maybe neither since his nitch seams to be against pokemon with bug, fighter or poison moves.

Shadow claw shadow ball is a legacy moveset and the best attacking moveset he has in the game, idk what percent iv that is, but Gengar is one of the most powerful attackers in the game dealing raw damage

I vote Shadow Claw. However, I havent found a reason to use mine. That poison typing is crippling.

Man, you've got to take it to duel with an alakazam or espeon or exeggutor (probably not exegg though, he's stronger).

It's such an epic duel, you see your HP bar go down like crazy but so does your opponents. If you thought a jolteon thunder on gyarados was ridiculous, a gengar shadow ball on alakazam/espeon is even more ridiculous!!

I too got a lvl20 91% shadow claw/shadow ball, I still didn't power it up since I only have around 300k of dust to spare. Even though it is among the strongest moveset of the game gengar lacks good matchup against elite defender.But if you have plenty of dust, definately go for the shadow claw/shadow ball one.

I powered up my 93 shadow claw sludge bomb gengar to level 33,5 and it's a beast! I have a 73 % level 22 or so it needs a lot of investment this one leaves me doubtfull because my stardust doesn't last tbh, but 93 SC Shadow ball I would max out :D

Bring the Shadow Claw one up to level 30 and you'll see how much chaos he can lay down. Trust me, you won't regret it.
