Gengar or Alakazam on Gengar raid
I'm trying to fill the last slot in my team for the Gengar raid tomorrow. I have 2 options:
Lv 40 Gengar 98% (15/15/14) Hex/Shadow Ball
Lv 40 Alakazam 100% (15/15/15) Confusion/Future Sight
I feel they'll perform the same on some situations. What do you guys think?

Alakazam might not even live until the first Future Sight if it's not the first in the lineup. Two Sludge Bombs in a row is guaranteed to kill Zam, whereas Gengar can tank those and one Hex or 3 Sucker Punches besides them, which might be enough time to get off 2 Shadow Balls, especially with energy gain from taking damage.
Gengar should be slightly better because it resists most of his own charge moves. Sure, he's weak to Shadow Ball, but so is Alakazam. Better DPS with Gengar too.
Neither will be great as an anchor though if you're trying to short man it. For that, I'd suggest something like Lugia or Tyranitar (depending on the opponent Gengar's moves). If you're going to be battling Gengar with anything more than a small group then I doubt you'll get past the first two or three in your lineup.
Pokebattler rates Hex Gengar better or equal than Alakazam against all non-SB movesets. Against Shadow Ball, both tank in the rankings, Gengar dropping to 7th or 8th and Alakazam at 12th. I'd go with Gengar, but against Shadow Ball I'd rather anchor with a Tyranitar or something, could save you a relobby.
Gengar is slightly better just not for the last slot, first slot is better for a glass cannon.
I will try alakazam, espeon, bannete, houndoom, exeggutor psychic, metagross combo though just for fun. I only plan to raid 6 times and many revives and potion to burn, so plenty of time for me to try using some variety.
