Gengar best defensive moveset

Considering people will likely use psychic mons to attack Gengar, i'd go for Hex/Shadow Ball.

But Gengar suck in every way, especially defending. His stamina is way too low. But i'm also tempted at powering my Shadow Claw/Shadow Ball or Hex/Shadow Ball as well :p

Hex/Shadow Ball. I say this only because Gengar is weak to ground moves and Sludge Bomb will be resisted. Shadow Ball is also super effective to Psychic types, another weakness

either is about the same. the only thing is gengar is relatively squishy so not really a worthy defender.
