Generation release schedule
I only started playing the game when gen 2 came out so I have only had 3 months to find both gen 1 and gen 2 mons. I can only imagine how long the wait for gen 2 felt for people who've been playing since last summer, as I'm already very impatiently awaiting gen 3.
What are our best guesses as to when they release gen 3 - and gen 4 for that matter. To me, the 7 months it took to put out gen 2 is unreasonably long. They risk the game dying if they wait that long between releases.
My guess for gen 3 would be the third quarter of this year, with the gym rework coming in the second quarter. So we would be looking at something like an august release maybe. Seems a looong time away.

Between the generations came such improvements as the buddy system and reliable tracking. This time it's got to be the gym rework and shinies. All of it should've been there from the beginning, but I wouldn't want to wait an extra year for the release. Speaking of which, it's not even officially out where I live. They can always add a couple new countries to their list if they wanna stir things up.
