Gen 2 goes live in 2 hours?

Some rumors out there that Gen 2 will be going live at 0:00UTC which is in about 2 hours.

Oh I sure hope these rumors are true.

What you guys think about to use lucky eggs when launch gen 2 to catch new mons and register to dex with double xp? worth it??. Thanks!.

Have to see how many are spawning in your area. If it looks like you are getting lots of new mons as well as hatching a lot of eggs while you walk it definitely could be worth it.

I'm just hoping for less Paras and Digletts around.

I saw this discussed in a YT video and I remember the conclusion being that using a lucky egg w mass evolve still gets you more XP. If you have tons of lucky eggs to burn through then go for it.

Yeah I save my lucky eggs for mass evolves. I think I only used a lucky egg once when I was about to hatch 4-5 10km eggs plus was walking a heavy pokemon area with lots of stops.

It totally depends on how much you value XP. If you can catch some new mons in 30 minutes, it will give you extra XP. But probably not at the rate of evolving a bunch of Pidgeys over a 30-minute period.

I will personally put a lucky egg on the minute I see a new mon. I'm crazy for XP though and don't care about squeezing every drop of value from my lucky eggs.

thought that the new pokemon dont come until the 18th so why would they bring them sooner?

It would be very odd to implement Gen 2 on a Friday or Saturday.

Moreover the 18th was only when that one German store was going to have a promotion. No reason it can't be released earlier. What does a German shopping mall know anyways?

Also there was a pokemon newsletter that went out recently (today) that said look for new pokemon "today".

why would it be odd? it's really smart of them to do it starting Friday since it's more active when people go out than during the week. Plus people might spend some $$ on the game or go out and be active with the game. Not odd about that at all.

Game developers don't release new games/big updates on Friday.

Friday is for announcing bad news going into the weekend where it can be lost and forgotten by Monday.

Let's hope for Gen 2 release in 1hr 10mins.

Also, pokemon storage was supposed to be cheaper today. It hasn't been pushed through yet. IOS update is now out and I believe the game is forcing you to update now in order to play.

I bet the pokemon storage update to be cheaper goes live when Gen 2 does. Then people will want to buy the extra storage for the new items and pokemon.

It all seems to be lining up...
