I really think that they look at this kind of sites but not near regularly, or if they do it in a regular basis they don't care too much about what we want for this game to be better.
And I say this just based on some small things like for example it "only" took them 6+ months and dozens of "minor" text fixes to implement something basic like mass transfers when players were asking for it on sites like here or reddit since first day and day after day after day...
Other things like legendary events or pvp are taking too long to implement, and I know, they are a small team and this game is huge with a lot of things to consider before every release, but this does not excuse the fact that if we had better end game content since the beggining, like pvp, more missions, objectives, legendaries, etc..most of the people that have left the game forever will be still playing for sure.
And I know this from a very close perspective, my young brother and other friends I played with left as soon as they completed their gen1 dex and only had some empty spaces like Lapras which requires you to actually pay2get, my town has not get a single Lapras spawn during the hole game. They are not going to come back because this game at this point is just a "collector monster" game if you are not very close to the pokémon world, and when you don't have anything left to do after you have "collected" all the mon, you switch to another game that offers more.
Gyms are not going to fix this, a lot of players are competitive, want to actually show their mon to their friends in battle, and with the gym system that is not possible, we need PVP and we need it asap. And I say this from a dedicated player perspective, I am level 35 and I play every single day, still have not missed a single day without playing at least 1 hour since launch, I like to walk and the game fits perfectly myself, has helped me to explore and move a lot more and I love it, but I understand why so many people has left.
