Is this game still playable after recent update?

App force closing on my iPhone 6 Plus is too much for me to consider continuing to play.

Most of the time, doesn't even last 1 gym battle before force closing ===>>> locked out of the gym.

Very frustrating.

Lvl 36.
I invested too much time into this game to stop.
Anyone in my situation?

I will not spend $1000 for a new phone in case anyone suggests.

I do find it annoying to be mid battle, and then everything just goes black.

If you're willing to step away from iPhones there are plenty of decently priced phones with high end specs.

I was a big fan of Samsung since android 1.6.
But starting 6.0, I gave up.

Switched to iPhone.
It's simpler and display is much better.
After getting used to iOS, not so bad anymore.

I have almost zero experience with iOS. I was just speaking from a price point.

In addition to crashing, I've started getting the white screen of death at startup since the last update. Here's hoping for a patch in the next couple days.

Same. iPhone 6. I restart the app just prior to battling a new gym to minimize the chance of crashing in the middle.

I play with 6S and have been getting a lot more freezes in the last week or so.
