Future use for mewtwo?

Me and some friends were talking about mewtwo and it got me wondering what will become of mewtwo after this. Its main set was shadow ball, and psychic really only matched machamp, but with all the psychic types out right now theres plenty of alternatives to a legendary specialist.

Looking ahead, there doesnt seem to be much in the future for these current mewtwo (Not shadow ball). I know psychic will see some more use in gen 5 with the swords of justice, but 2 of them mewtwo wont be supreme agaisnt, a level 24 double flying rayqyaza bests a maxed psychic mewtwo against virizion nd cobalion's not weak to psychic, leaving just terrakion who has *many* weaknesses including to other legendaries and its possible Keldeo and/or meloetta will be research encoutners. With gen 4 coming, we'll have all the new ice types so ice beam mewtwo wont be needed unless they surprise us with rayquaza before gen 4, similar applies for Thunderbolt with the electric types ontop of zapdos and raikou already besting it. Focus blast is ok, but machamp does that job faster as well as having more usage outside of just battling the normal tanks

Could the CP rebalance affect mewtwo's usage? Or was this really just stock up on candy for your shadow ball mewtwo or for an eventual raid day with psystrike? Personally i hope something happens to make nonshadow ball mewtwo more widely useful because i have some really good iv ones i want to actually have be useful
(and before I get any comments about this, this concerns only raid month mewtwo, *not* the EX raid ones)

This does concern EX Mewtwo, but not Shadow Ball: Why did HB go legacy? Is it possible it will be OP with the changes to Defense and Stamina?

Will it have additional use as a neutral damage dealer we didn't foresee two weeks ago?

I wouldn't be so quick to let SB Mewtwo off the hook. With Giratina coming, SB Mewtwo will probably become less relevant too. Maybe not obsolete, but if Giratina gets dual ghost moves (maybe even just a ghost charge move), he'll probably give SB Mewtwo a run for its money. I agree about the introduction of ice and electric types in Gen 4, too. I'm leaning toward making all my Mewtwos pure psychic attackers... or at least my best ones.

Giratina Altered form won't be able to match SB M2's DPS against psychic types even with dual ghost moves. Giratina Origin form with dual ghost moves would be king, but think Altered form is what will be released initially.

Gen 4 aside: Thunderbolt mewtwo is probably the second best counter against blizzard kyogre. In fact may even give raikou run for its mone

And a strong pokemon with Ice attacks but lacking Ice's weaknesses (fire, rock, fighting, and steel) will likely have some uses.

But back to Thunderbolt Mewtwo, if one needs to attack with electric into something with ground attacks, that's the way to do it.

Raikou was always the undoubted supreme counter to B Kyogre due to its ability to tank Blizzard, Mewtwo won't give it a run for its money. But TB Mewtwo seems like a clear upgrade to SoB Kyogre, Ho-Oh, Jolteon and other second tier options used against Blizzard.
