What do you all think of an event in which whatever you hatch is automatically at your current level? Personally this would get me spend big bucks on Incubators, which is ultimately what Niantic wants (money!).
What other events would get you to spend real bucks? Anything Stardust would get me to spend more again, but personally double XP and candy wouldn't.
No. I don't even have a good reason, it just doesn't sound like a good idea.
I like the events they have been doing (mostly), pikachu hat is a little questionable and the baby pokemon...
Future event idea? How about just have pokemon nests change every 2 hours during an event... should be interesting.
Honestly I think they should raise the level cap on hatched pokemon period. Perhaps with the gen 2 launch raise is to 30, since that is where the bulk of players are now.
Future events could have to do about walking a certain distance a day gets you X amount of XP/Stardust. Or maybe if you walk 1/3/5km respectively with your buddy, a wild one will spawn (obviously in the unevolved form).
Interesting idea, but I think that's TOO much of a giveaway (I'm at level 31) - I agree it would encourage lots of egg hatching in the hope of getting a maxed out Snorlax or Lap, but might be discouraging for lower level players as all us higher level trainers will have fully-maxed everything. I personally WOULD spend on "double candy" and keep 8 extra incubators going full blast (except on 2K eggs) if or when that comes around again.
For this event, I'll happily use the 10 incubations for my current egg supply. I think this event is fine but not the WOW! one might have hoped for with back-to-back holidays for most...
I actually believe in variety and would have thought any repeat event would have been the lamest thing. With that being said, I loved the idea someone else had about rotating nests!
Those waiting for double things will have to wait for the next Halloween/ thanksgiving... niantic in their general generosity (yes, they want to make money... employees have to be paid, you know...) has made us all a bit entitled and whiny...
I would personally freaking love it. I can see how it wouldn't appeal to some people though, but it will eventually. I absolutely hate the lvl 20 cap.
A half off sale would be pretty cool, I would be stocking up like crazy and paying more than normal.
Also nothing to do with events but increasing the spawn times and rare chance of incense would get them some bucks for the cold weather. Those things are pathetic!
Edit:Or maybe a random unannounced player appreciation day every once in awhile. Get a few incubators, nice chunk of dust, 500 coins. Just something to perk players up and say "damn...Good move niantic"
I think this would ruin the game...and isn't a good idea.
Powering up mons to/past lvl 30 with hatches sound fair enough as the IVs are much better with hatches anyways so I'd guess people with a lot of near perfect mons use a lot of incubators already. This, at least makes the stardust valuable.
If they hatch at your level, there is less need for stardust, even if it's for a short event. Lvl 38, hatch at 38? Seems a bit unfair...
I'm hoping this doesn't gets put in.
Double candy and double stardust from hatches would have a similar impact but would benefit all players, not just high level ones.
I would also buy more incubators if they announced an increased drop rate for 10k eggs, or 100k legendary eggs, or a better chance of desirable hatches ( hint: I don't mean babies, I mean hard to find ones that are actually good like Chansey).
