Potentially, yes.

A lot of accounts using fake GPS were banned recently. I would recommend you wait for a week before your friend log in. Also wait for 24 hours before huge location change like this.

Yeah, I would recommend not using Pokémon Go for 24h and then your friend can log in. And do the same for re-using your account !

I'm pretty sure some people use multiple devices to play Go, and I'm pretty sure some people travel.

I'm 85% certain that there's a 65% chance this won't get you banned.

It's against the TOS to share account and all that.

If you wait the time it would take to normally make the travel distance from you to him they shouldn't ban you. The suggestions to wait 24 hours between is good.

Anything else and your risking a ban.

Might as well have him play on his own account and wait for trading.
