Forever Medals...

Has anyone achieved the Youngster and Fisherman gold medals? At this rate it would take me around 4k catches of rats (7.5%) and fish (7.3.%) to get them. Or 3 and 2 years respectively if I don't pick my game up. ??

I have youngster but the Magikarp and Pikachu medal are too out of reach for me to care about.

Caught 2,538. 310 small rats.

i've caught 2,228 and got 218 small ratts... sigh..

i've gone out of my way (at least a little) for every magikarp I have ever seen and am only on 170

I actually decided to not care for those medals as they have zero impact on gameplay.

If the youngster medal made less ratta spawn I would care.

If the fisherman medal made more water pokemon spawn I would care.

I would at least try if they were actually attainable. I mean the rat one is, not so much the Magikarp one. I don't try much with the Pikachus because they have such a low catch rate.

I've caught 355 Pikachu. Need 76 more tiny rats. Will never get the large magikarp. We Barely have any water spawns here. I need 250 more large karp. Lol

i love medals, my secondary goal besides reach lvl 40 is to have all gold, exept for the unown and raid one wich i know is gonna take long. now i'm focusing in catch every rat, magikarp and pikachu i see and feed as much mon in valor gyms as i can. i have the gold for the new gym leader medal and by little i got the ace trainer (1001 mons trained)

Isnt it kind of nice to not achieve all the medals super fast? I'm at 62/300 karp 98/300 rats. I don't go out of my way to try to get them, but I will still be happy when I do get them.

I get both of them much faster than the pikachu catches.

I thought the same way and ended up at 931/1000 for the Ace trainer medal. Now it will forever remain that way.

At least I wasn't that close (only 365/1000, kinda embarrassing ;)

I'm at 60 magikarp out of 400 caught, I go out of my way to catch every one I see. I'm at 75 rats out of 723 caught. I've seen 120 Pikachu...caught 76--lot of times I give up on those. Gonna see if the go plus gets me to the rats faster. I got to 1017 ace training. I fought a lot the last week.

Ding, ding! As a prize, you win the opportunity to buy a big box! I'm 1,000,000/1,250,000 thru level 34. I'm trying really hard to get to 35 well before any raid boss changes. I didn't mass evolve or lucky egg for the longest time, haphazardly doing those tricks now

Yes, but how about some middle ground? I'm level 38 and I'm only about a third of the way to the Pikachu and Magikarp medal. I think that is just a little excessive...

Dragon and Magikarp are near impossible.

These medals are biome dependant and in no way are they universally achievable.
...just another mistake made by Niantic.

i got my dragon recently by walking along a river and the beach, many people don't have beachs in their cities so try to find a large river, it could even be a sewer chanel that was a river long time ago

True, I'm going to reach the dragon medal before the carp, rat, and maybe picachu. We just happen to live in a neighborhood with tons of lakes.

Rats caught 1866.....Tiny 240....60 more to go

Magikarp caught 285.....Big 38.....never gonna happen.

At level 35 I have 21 rats :) . It will be a long, long time.

I live in a water biome so Magikarp was easy for me. I did that in March. But I'm only half of Ratatta's.

I'm never gonna get the Magikarp one. He doesn't spawn here and or as a nest. I walked mine forever then the water event came along and I managed to finish my first one and caught enough for a second one with some candy to power both up to level 32. Even caught a Shiny.
The Dragon one is my main one I probably won't get unless an event happens. Only have caught 10 so far.
