Flygon question

Just hatched a 96% Trapinch and am wondering if I should evolve it now or wait for a possible future Trapinch Community Day. Wondering if Flygon can learn a move in the games that it does not currently know in Pogo. Thank you!!

I don't see why not, it's not immediately necessary and a 10k hatch Pokemon may very well come after this starter Community Day. Only caveat would be if you think Dragon Tail/Dragon Claw may go legacy on it.

[Pikachu] (Dratini) [Bulbasaur] (Mareep) [Charmander]
Now that you mentioned it, there could be a pattern including "10k"s and starters, interesting

Spent and/or mostly useless 10ks. Trapinch fits there. I've caught 5 trapinch, but hatched two 98% 15as---first one was double ground. Need 14 more candy to fully evolve the other, will just wait bc it isn't vital. Last year they did Fire and Ice on June 21st, they could do spheal and torchic during one Community Day. This current pattern isn't every pattern.

I doubt they will stick to 3-stage evolutions and 10km eggs, simply because they will need to choose a new species every month and in any case, the current sample is too small to predict patterns from.

Hence my bold prediction that the next Community Day may feature...Unown.

"Flygon is nicknamed “the elemental spirit of the desert.” Because its flapping wings whip up a cloud of sand, this Pokémon is always enveloped in a sandstorm while flying."

-- This would be perfectly illustrated by Sand Tomb as charge move. I hope they do this and buff the move!

It doesn't get much better than Dragon Tail/Dragon Claw, and even if it did, Flygon won't be a must have. I wouldn't wait for a CD that may never happen.

If you already have a Flygon, I'd keep it as no one needs a second one. If you don't have one, evolve it as no move set can make Flygon a top dragon or ground type.

Flygon's base attack stat is so low that it won't become meta relevant no matter what CD exclusive move it might get, especially since it's competing against Ray/Nite/Salamence/Latios or Groudon (and later Rhyperior/Garchomp/Mamoswine).

So I would say it doesn't matter a whole lot whether you choose to wait or not. A high IV collectible with an exclusive move is always nice, but that's all the value it's ever going to have if it gets a CD.
