Just wanted to share my good fortune this morning. Was able to solo my first Flareon since its return. Had partly cloudy weather boost. Did it with..
3426 Ttar SD/SE
2776 Golem RT/SE
2726 Golem RT/SE
3218 Gary WF/HP
2650 Golem RT/SE
2595 Golem RT/SE
4th Golem needed one RT to end it. 20 seconds left. Weather boost is so much fun. Also hatched Alohan Vulpix for first time so that was awesome too.

Now to question, that team strong enough without weather boost or would it come up short? I think it might come up short.

it's good enough. Ttar and Gary can get you ahead of the clock, and the golem don't loose too much time. If you fail, try dodging the charge move with the ttar to increase its tdo.

I would think you need a Kyogre, but I'm not sure. I soloed one yesterday in cloudy weather, but I had two Kyogres (level 40 and 38) and two Smack Down Tyranitars. Not difficult with that team.

You don't, Tyranitar at level 35 and Gyarados at level 40 can get you ahead of the clock. And with the 180s timer trick it's probably more possible to do it with unboosted Golems than it used to be.

I did my first FLareon weather boosted (Sunny) solo today, and it was a close one. Only 9 seconds left. Here's what I used:

3855 Kyogre (lvl 37) WF/HP
3325 Tyranitar (lvl 34) SD/SE
4042 Groudon (lvl 40) MS/EQ
3318 Tyranitar (lvl 34) SD/SE
3448 Kyogre (lvl 30) WF/HP
2243 Golem (lvl 27) RT/RB

I could have chosen better on the last one. Wanted a multibar charge move to finish it off with and barely didn't faint before geting the last blow in. Likely would have been better served with a third TTar or even a Swampert with Surf (lvl 35).

The Flareon had Flamethrower and was spamming it hard.

I feel you would come very close without the weather boos but fall short. Those cp's suggest you have room to power up and are they all 15 attack?
For reference my team of 2916 Golems beat Flareon with no weather boost by 7 seconds.

Not all 15 attack. Gary and 2 Golem are 15, Ttar and another Golem are 14 and last Golem 13. There is room to power up. I am only level 38.
