19000cp Lapras, ice + hydro pump the battle was 180s after you lose, you can restart the battle after a short time (90s?) raid is on for 1 hour the time in between battles (~90s) is not enough to properly select your 6 mons. With server lag I could only pick 2-3 good mons and was stuck with the autoselect for the rest. Sometimes the selection didn't work and I was stuck with the autoselect. The other players also played with the autoselected mons, attacking with their Blissey... 2 other players came (we were level 35, 36, 39) 2-3 players against a Lapraswith hydro pump and not a proper ability to select the attacking team = no chance to win. This is not good for rural players. maybe it was lag, but I couldn't see animation that would let me anticipate the charge move and dodge, so got hit each time I suspect lag will get ironed out eventually and things will be better, but it was a very frustrating fight (as were gym fights). No time to select the 6 attackers was especially bad. I think the best way to do this is to star the 6 mons you want before getting into the gym.

I don't know what people are doing when attacking with a Blissey...You need to maximize DPS since you're time constrained...

Assume you may also need to use all 6 attackers, go with things which will SE into Lapras like Jolteon (glass cannon so not ideal), MACHAMP (BEST COUNTER IMO), Dragonite (resist water/HP, great stats in general), you could also use a double rock golem, by HP would hurt...

Could be so cool to catch a guaranteed high IV Lvl 20 Lapras...

Edit: Wanted to add, honestly Machamp is a counter (SE) in nearly 5 of the top 6 most annoying defenders (Snorlax, Blissey, Lapras, Steelix, Umbreon...probably more)...

Can't wait to get my 1st TM And use it on my Bullet Punch/DP Lvl 20 Machamp (then again, my 15 ATT Champ has BP/Counter).

i think that is the OP's point people were forced to use sub optimal mons by the time limitation and lag in the selection menu.

Really sucks then...Hopefully, the lag and hurt, constant heals when attacking is fixed soon...

Can we select 6 same type attackers? (6 dragonites etc)

How much of it's health was left? I'm rural and the only one part level 35 in my area. My two friends are about a month away from 35 but it will only be us so I'm wondering if it will ever be possible for us?

at best we got it down to about half HP

Had a different experience from OP, no lag, was able to select all pokes that I needed. You can select whatever you want. Didn't realize at the time only 35+ could participate, attempted to solo, just could not kill it due to timing out. Attempted two times but kept getting it to 10%.

I heard there will be a pre-selected function of preselecting ur own team in advance. It will be make things easier.

I fought a 12000 CP Electabuzz with one other person and neither of us even lost a single mon. 2 Donphans took it out in about a minute. I'm excited to take on some real defenders.
