Finally Solo'ed a C/FB Alakazam

No question just very, very happy I finally solo'ed C/FB Alakazam. I had only 7 seconds left and my last Tyranitar was almost dead

I dodged as much with my Gengars as possible (also the Confusions) and was able to get of 5 ShBs with my Gengars. The Tyranitars did the rest.

Special thanks to Housunkannatin for helping me out and optimizing my squad.

Thats where Gamepress is for, helping each other out :)

Would be probably more easy to out in more ghost Pokemon against a FB Alakazam.

Gefeliciteerd!

Interesse?

Congrats! Good job with the dodgings!
I may also try it without Mewtwos next time!

Sadly I dont have one, but if you have one, it is by far the best counter for this matchup as it resists both moves. I hope you succeed!

Nice Job!! That was my last moveset as well. It's a tough one for sure. Interesting to see you took a different approach than I did even though we have similar teams and we were both successful.

I guess I could mention my strategy:
Team (in rainy conditions):
Lv 35 B/C ttar
Lv 34 H/SB Gengar
Lv 35 B/C Ttar
Lv 31 B/C Ttar
Lv 40 B/C Ttar
Lv 38 TS/WC Raikou (because it was raining, I'd sub Scizor if not)

It took me a few attempts and I noticed a couple things:
1) leading with my Lv 40 was't an efficient use of it's power. Putting it later in the lineup allowed it to survive longer and do much more damage.
2) The Lv 31 ttar wouldn't trigger a FB with two crunches and could last a longer time.
3). Gengar dying on a C instead of a FB really messed up the Crunch/Focus Blast rhythm.

so I led with a Lv 35, tanked with the Gengar to get 2 SB off, and hope to die on FB. Put the second Lv 35 after Gengar in case Gengar didn't die on FB so my LV 40 wouldn't be one shotted. Put the LV 31 next so I could sacrifice it at any time on a FB to get my Lv 40 going strong to the finish. Had the Raikou last to do smooth damage in case Lv 40 didn't survive till the end.

Basically everything fell into place. Got off 6 crunches while dodging 1 FB with the first TTar. Gengar got F.Blasted after the requisite 2 SB. The second TTar did solid work getting off 9 crunches. I sacrificed the Lv 31 on the first FB (1 crunch) due to low clock and the Lv 40 finished off the job with 10s left and half it's health.

Very nice, and indeed very different approach. I am sarting to think that my victory was in cloudy weather (fighting boosted) but I am not shure and there is no way to know. I think ill try again in cloudy weather to see if i can succeed again...
