Why is it a waste of candy? If you like Arcanine, just power him up. It's not like he's useless in gyms. He still has 227 attack stat!

I power up my favorites just because I want to. That's a good enough reason for me!

As long as it's Growlithe candies and not Rare candies, there's nothing wrong with powering up an Arcanine if you really like it.
Entei might be better, but Arcanine is still good.

Since I got a Mewtwo today, (76% whatevs). I'm not going to put rare candy to Entei, this is going to have to stunt double, should I keep Arcanine Bite and Fire blast if I take it to level 35+? I guess one of those legacy pickles, better performer as pure fire--not worth too much as double dark, probably keep it like it is --feel I almost have to. I'll just give it a bigger cp and use it to help me ignore Entei
