Favorite not so strong mon to use.

I know there are others like me who don’t always use a dragonite or another generalist to clear gyms. Yes they are strong I know. My top 2 dragons have thousands of wins combined so I still use them. But sometimes it’s fun to use your other favorite Pokémon instead. So I’m curious to know what your favorite gym attacker is that isn’t a super strong generalist.
I like using kingdra, it’s one of my favorites and has the awesome combo of dragon breathe/outrage
I like to dodge so I prefer the low CD fast moves(DBreathe, Tshock, Wgun) as opposed to the strong and slow fast moves and I prefer using multi bar charge moves so as to not overkill and to carry energy over for the next Pokémon, so kingdras moves goes perfect for my gym attacking style.

What about you?

I value time the most. I've used to battle with Blissey(P+HB) when potions were a scare thing in the old gym system. These days it's always either Machamp or Dragonite.

I like Omastar, but won't use it due to time efficiency.

Normally I storm strong gyms with my Machamp, but sometimes I use my 100% Murkrow just for the heck of it, or my Kingler, or the Jolteon (he's dang good vs anything that gets neutral damage too). Cloyster's another favorite.

Since I want to collect battles won on my L40 perfect Mewtu (favorite Pokemon) I use that a lot, the high appearance of strong Pokemon weak to Fighting (especially Blissey) makes it hard to use anything else than Machamps.

In the old gym system I really liked to use Raticate and Golduck, the use of weaker Pokemon in that system is something I really miss these days, hope it comes back anyday

I still find my Thunder Shock / Thunderbolt Jolteon useful for such purposes.

Poliwrath with Bubble/DP, it is fun to Dynamic Punch those Blisseys.

With the new weather system, each of the last few days I've been getting high level Oddish and Gloom so I've been using Glooms a lot all of them are RL/PB. Their stats aren't that high but for those weak gyms it's a lotta fun.

Theoretically, I'd love to use some obscure, less powerful mons for battling, but the way the game is structured right now, I'd rather save time and potions/revives by using my level 40 DT/O Dragonite, and/or one of my two Mewtwos (C/SB, and PC/FB) to blow through a gym as quickly as possible. Maybe once in a while, I'll throw Moltres/Entei or Raikou/Zapdos in the mix, if the defenders line up conveniently for those attackers. The time I save can be spent catching garbage Spinaraks and Gulpins and Sentrets, etc., to acquire stardust, which is not fun, but necessary.

I wish there was a real incentive to use lower CP mons for attacking, like back in the prestiging days. My Wigglytuffs, Tangelas, Machokes, etc. have been gathering cobwebs since the gym rework. I still think the gym rework was necessary and an improvement for the overall health of the game, but it could be tweaked.

I'd love to see CP-restricted gyms introduced (under 2000, under 1500, etc.), so that lower level players can compete, but higher level players can have fun with goofy mons they'd never use otherwise.

I have a legacy team. These were pokemon I used early on before I got the best counters. I still enjoy using them.
