Fast TM these Rhydons?

I have two 44/45 Rhydons that I have already invested candy and dust on. Are they worth quick TMing to get Mud Slap? I'm told that Rhydon has a mega evolution coming (?Gen 4) but that may be long enough to still have value to TM now.

If yes would you do which one or both?

Rhydon RS/EQ 15/15/14 lvl 35.5 CP 3081 (maxed)
Rhydon RS/SE 15/15/14 lvl 22.5 CP 2117 (will continue to power up)

Is your area pre-Raikou? TM.

I'd say you could still do it, nothing wrong with having an all ground pokémon with over 3000cp (since it's also the only current ground pokémon with respectable CP).

Rock Smash is not necessary on Rhydon, I personally also TM'ed and powered a ground and a SE Rhydon.

Honestly, I would probably leave them alone. You have to be careful using charge TM on those kind of mons because you could potentially get megahorn. EQ isn't that bad of a move, especially if you have Raikou iin your zone right now. That 3000 cp Rhydon might be worth using a fast TM to get mud slap. That way you have a nice ground pokemon all powered up. It's really up to you though. It's not a bad choice but the gen 4 evolution is probably a year away, so saving for that isn't necessary.

Sorry I thought I made it clear it was for fast TM. I have one of each of the best charge moves there so no motivation to change that. If I did quick TM it would be 100% chance to change from Rock Smash to Mud Slap, that was the question.

No I apologize. I reread your question and you did specify that. I'd say it's worth using then. They are very useful Pokemon, especially the 3000+ cp one.

Do it with both if you have too many fast TMs - for most people this is the case because fast TMs are more common and getting the move you want is guaranteed, you'll save 2 item slots assuming you're going to eventually power them up because they're near perfect and Rhydons are usable Pokemon.

If you're lacking on fast TMs then only TM when you need to use a Mud Slap Rhydon right now. Since Raikou has already passed for you there isn't much need for a ground type attacker, because besides electric type which only has one weakness, every other type that is weak to ground, there is a better Pokemon for the job than Rhydon, because Mud Slap is a weak move.

It's a regular evolution that it gets in gen 4 not a mega evolution. Mega evolutions were not introduced until gen 6.

IMO just the level 35.5 one.

Since your area(as well as mine) already had Raikou, Rhydon is now less relevant as an attacker. Golem with rock moves is a better option for Entei, but if you don’t have those, it might be worth getting Mud Slap for both. When Gen 4 rolls out, Rhyperior will be a beast, but might come with different moves.
