Exeggutor w/ Confusion and Psychic

It's a good attacker if you don't dodge all attacks (maybe just charged attacks), and a good defender in the sense that very few attackers resist psychic type and both of those attacks are very tricky to dodge.

Still pretty good, but Tyranitar destroys it big time.

It is still good. Low CP for defending but Confusion hits like a truck and Psychic is hard to dodge. I love Exeggutors personally and have powered up a number of them to 2600+ and I put them in gyms. Yeah they might be lower but they hit like a truck if you don't dodge.

They are also great for attacking. I say enjoy your Egg! I can't get enough of them IMO.

Look at this site's recently updated Gym Defenders list. They still have confusion / psychic as the best defender moves for Exeggutor. I find this sites evaluations to be very accurate.

I live in a grass biome, so I have many exeggutors. Like many have said already, confusion is a great defending move. If you fail to dodge it, it deals massive damage. It also builds up energy fairly quick. seed bomb is probably the preferred defending charge move, since it is 3 bar. That being said, almost no attackers will resist psychic type moves, and it gets STAB. Confusion is also a legacy move, so that counts for something. I have used my confusion psychic exegg's for attacking, and it does well too. I would definitely not transfer it. If it has great IVs, and you have spare candies and dust, I would consider powering it up.
