Exeggutor rarity
Are they common in your area? About half the Pokemon in gyms in my area are Exeggutors, but I don't see anyone really mention them too often as a big problem on the internet.
Even their bad moveset is good. It's a pain to fight 2 or 3 stacked in a row with no real counter.

Yes they are quite common in my area also.. they are the best plant and psychic pokemon in pokemon go.. its really easy to find eggs and evolve then to be monsters.. if you ever get a zen headbutt and solarbeam it is easily one of your go to attackers in the game.. and if you get a confusion and psychic/seed bomb, ita a monster on defence
I feel ya. Still it can be worth powering one up if it has good IVs and Fireblast, especially if you can't get an RK9/Charizard. Their attack stat is monsterous (actually better than RK9's) and they scale well. Just need to get practiced at dodging to overcome that poor healthpool and NEVER put it in a gym.
Some areas they're plentiful and some they're not. They are great defenders but Arcanine handles them well. If there are few Growliths in your area Flareon will do. Bug types seem like a good idea but really only work at the lower levels. Exegutor's stats are waaay above any bug type (especially the pathetic Parasect) so if you try to power them up to keep up you will quickly find Exegutor far outscales the bugs and will punish you for attacking with them.
Found around 2 of them in the wild. I see them often in gyms. Exeggute are somewhat common near the beach so that's probably why. I have yet to get a good one with good IVs and attacks unfortunately.
And yeah, their movesets are pretty great no matter what. Confusion + Any attack is great for defense, Zen headbutt + Solar beam wrecks gyms.
