Exeggutor legacy vs. new
I haven't had much luck with this mon so far and never gotten the best offensive moveset ZH/SoB even though I evolved like 6-7 of them.
Now, I got 1657 CP (96% IV) Exeggutor with legacy Confusion / Psychic and 67 candies on me.
Should I try and evolve another one and hope for something better or just invest candies & dust in this one?
Double grass-type move Exeggutor would be super cool but Bullet Seed seems to be a lousy move ;/ isn't it?
Extrasensory + Solar Beam would be an optimal moveset in this case but legacy Confusion seems a lot stronger (on offence and defence?) than ES. Plus, I like to have both moves of the same type.
What are your thoughts?

Extra sensory is better than ZH, no doubt/debate. ES also gIves more energy than confusion (new) while doing less damage. With solar beam, which is very strong, than energy may be more important with regards to cycle dps. I think either ES or Confusion with Solar Beam is going to be his optimal moveset, counting both legacy and new.
Given that you have only 67 candy, even if you were to evolve another one, you would end up with 17 candy and your Exe would stay under 2000 CP, which makes it a prestiger at best.
Your 67 candy will take your existing one to Level 30.
As for the new moves, I think you want Solar Beam to be able to melt those Vapes. Bullet Seed is inferior to Extra Sensory, but not that much when you consider SE against Vapes. And Seed bomb is not bad either with the buff... But I think that you want Solar Beam, if only because it is a really fun move to hammer down on Vapes.
If I were in your shoes, I would be looking for an upgrade to your current moveset, which has 50-50 odds (ES/SoB, BS/SoB, ES/SeB). Just pray that you don't end up with BS/P or ES/P or BS/SeB which are all inferior / very similar to what you already have.

Yep, mine is 93,3 % IV which is more than enough for me, I'm not obsessed with IVs that much. As long as it's above 82 so the appraisal message is the best one + perfect moveset = cool monster :)
The only problem is that he's sitting at 1900 cp right now, I'm out of candies and Exeggcutes are sooo rare close to where I live.
I was asking myself the same question...I evolved 4 exeggutors during the event..caught two at lvl 28+ and ivs around 80%. Both got Confusion and Solarbeam. By the time that was a strange/undefined moveset to have. The other two were hatched 80 plus ivs and got zb/sob and c/p...i know the c/sob ones are damn good for defense, but c is really slow on offense...still wondering if i should power up the z/sob one or if c/p is also good/better on defense
Both for ZH and Conf you will be using them only once between the dodges. Confusion is super strong but ZH loads up the energy faster. Combined with SoB they're both definitely good options offensively I believe.
Conf / Psychic for defence is undoubtedly very powerful, I'm holding on to my Exegg with this combination even though I just evolved a better one for battling gyms.
Thanks! I´m just starting to dodge regularly and only dodge charge-moves so far, so good to know the rotation. I think even in this Meta 2 2500 WP C/SoB Exeggutors should be enough, so I can save the 90k of dust it would take to max out the ZB/SoB one. I mainly use them for gyms loaded with Vaporeons, since I normaly fight Vaporeon with Dragonites. I really hate the Gyarados matchup since with Exeggutor you´re weak to Bite and I don´t like my Jolteon to much with Thunder.
