Not the best for offense? That is the best psychic moveset and pokemon in the entire game...As far as defense goes, I'm still not entirely sure why this site rates confusion above zen headbutt on defense. I know confusion hits like a truck, but zen's damage is even greater...Whether it has confusion or zen headbutt, it is still one of the best defenders in the game. It is also one of the best attackers in the game. If you don't power this up, what do you power up?

Exeggutor on Defense!!!
I have a 2219 CP Exeggutor at 93% IV with Zenheadbutt/Psychic. I know this move set is not the best for Offense and though this is not the optimal move set of Defense neither I still think it has its potential as a gym defender since this move set has the Highest DPS of its kind. Currently this Exeggutor of mine has been in a level 10 gym for more than 2 weeks. Any thoughts? Is it worth keeping and should I power it up more?

It has high cp and hits hard but it´s far from being the best attacker or defender or at least for playing style.
Too slow attacks make it difficult to dodge.
As a defender it can be easily defeated by a very low bug if it dodges well.
It is so slow that you can hit with X-scissor between its quick moves.
There are no perfect defenders but it is not one of the most scariest. Not in my opinion
Arcanine is a badass against exeggutor.
And I have a 91,1% IV exeggutor (2201 CP) with Confusion + Psychic and to be honest I think the main thing that makes him a good defender is having this two moves at the same time. Basically because Psychic is really hard to dodge and Confusion makes it even more difficult because after a confusion attack you don't know if exeggutor is going to use Psychic until it's too late.
