If you want to save dust, save dust. But psychic Eggy is good against plenty of things - psychic isn't resisted by a lot. Weak to bugs, otherwise pretty solid.

Tbh you really want the grass charge moves on exeggutor as he is the strongest grass attacker even if posessing psychic quick moves. However psychic charge move is just not good...Even seed bomb is good because it justifies its place by allowing you to dodge everything, whereas solar beam is the most powerful charge move in the game.

I have a zen headbutt psychic exeggutor and he is only 80% ivs, and he is still pretty solid. He can take on blissey's but I would wait for a solarbeam one since there is the grass pokemon event

If Niantic ever reverts Psychic to a 50 energy charge move, it will be a good attacking moveset like Z/P used to be. Until then, Psychic at 100 energy is a pretty bad move on both offense and defense.
