EX raids on Christmas day

Like... Why? Are people even playing on Christmas?

I live in a student town, where basically everyone playing PoGo is a student. So ofcourse no one will be around for the raid (I won't even be in the country, but that aside).

Glad that I also have an invite for upcoming Monday.

Yeah, back to back. Sadly that latter one won't be used...

A friend and I both did a sandslash raid. He got his 4th EX pass on Christmas and I still have never gotten one. Thanks a lot Niantic. I do at least 10 raids a week and just hit level 39 and cannot get an EX pass.

One girl I know got one even though she was soft banned. WTF

I saw someone today who got an EX raid invite on 12/25. At a Starbucks. In a mall. Which is closed on that day. Great job, Niantic!

Not everyone celebrates Christmas...there are a lot of people in this world that don't.

I got a Xmas invite and will be going to mine - although it is tinged with guilt because a raid buddy missed out who has been raiding every raid in the park in question every day...while I got mine after only 2 raids at that gym this week.
He is happy for me, as he is a champ...but it does seem a little unfair that he missed out somehow.

I could not believe it when I got mine today.... after doIng a Groudon raid yesterday (thanks to Discord) at a sponsored gym. First I thought how ironic, Christmas day, but I have to work anyway (I'm a nurse) and am planning to get out early... if I can't I'll have my husband and kids do the raid for me. But I'm planning to get out early and meet my family for the EX-raid ;)

I have only done 2 raids at that gym (last one in August), bronze badge, and this was only my third legendary raid... RNG was kind to me, I guess.

I may have generalised too much, but so have you. I'm not Christian and so are a lot of other people celebrating Christmas. Christmas is not so much "the day Jesus was born" anymore as it is "a holiday where you just spend time together with family (for me and most people I know)"
