See any comment thread on any social media platform about Community Day announcements. Those are over the weekend and are still flooded with "Not everyone works weekdays!" complaints. Any time sensitive event in a game like this will fail to please everyone.
HAVING SAID THAT, I don't get why they don't just make a whole day of it for EX raids. Lock the gym out for the entirety of the raid curfew for the day so people can organize to do it at 6am if need be, lunchtime, or 6pm after work. They encourage players to use social media apps to organize gatherings for community days, surely they know we'd do the same for EX raids? A 45 minute window during standard business hours is balls, and this is from someone who was able to attend a dozen of them previously.
I thought they would be sent out this weekend, so I hadn't done any raids.
I wonder if this was a one time thing or if Niantic have changed their system. In the past we got invites about nine days before the raid, but this is just five.
Missed out, but luckily got an invite from a fellow player. So atleast I'll get to go to one EX-raid. Some in my are will do two that day.
No, I did not get mine. My town does not have any EX eligible gyms. We have parks with gyms, but they weren't mapped as parks in 2016, so Niantic doesn't recognize them as parks. So, until I find time between my job and my family to drive 45 minutes, I will never get an EX pass until Niantic gets their crap together and updates their definition of a park.
