Evolving Eevee during double candy

In order to get Umbreon or Espeon I need to walk Eevee for 10km plus have gotten 2 candies during the buddy phase. Question is, during double candy event, does the 10km requirement still apply?

Yes, make sure you walk 10 km AND get 2 candies. To be extra sure walk 10 km DURING the event.

To be totally absolutely sure, don't try to evolve Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon during events that mess with buddy distance and candy.

Also make sure eevee is your buddy when you evolve. Changing it out before you evolve will cause the trick to not work.

Yes, it does still apply. During previous .5x walking distance for buddy candy events, they still needed to be walked a full 10km.

have to walk 10km regardless don't waste double candy on eevee.

Works every time.
