Top position with Dodge all Weave scenario.
Outclassed by B/Se and top DB Dragonites, but only marginally weaker than B/C Tyra and DT Dragonites.
Your call, but consider how hard you get Tyra candies, a top IV and the chance to get a better attack move, 2/6.

This. We had a thread about this a while back (I'm nor sure how to find it). Like many others I pulled this moveset and immediately thought "Aww hell". However upon further inspection it appears to be pretty strong. Also fire gives defensive coverage (although it is hard to get hit with it) but it is slow to cast. The fire angle could be helpful in the future but I'm not sure how yet. I would keep trying for others but I may power up this one too eventually.

PvP wildcard! Just like solar beam typhlosion, EQ meganium, ice beam blastoise/feraligatr, steel wing dragonite, and more currently less ideal movesets. My theory is that these movesets will add mind games to PvP. I will refrain from using scizor against tyranitar for this reason :3

OP, I rolled B/FB on my first evolution too. I personally wanted B/C or B/SE and re-rolled and was fortunate. It's up to you; you have a 1/3 chance of getting either moveset for an evolution! I personally don't care about defensive movesets (I figure if somebody's going to knock down the gym, the moveset won't deter them) and with that being said, I think this is tyranitar's third ideal moveset, for me at least.

You could use it on def the main con is NE vs vape but SE vs grass types.

its effective vs grass, bug and steel, but its resisted by water, rock (rhydon and golem with ms/eq) and neutral to fighting and ground. its an offensive moveset anyway because it has bite, so its definitely usable. tyran to me is hit or miss with his matchups. the good thing is what hes weak at attacking into, dragonite is strong. so if youve got both of them with top movesets, your attacking team is near perfect.
