Evolve Ralts Now or Later?

I have two very good Ralts in my possession. (A) was found taking a gym in the morning, and it is level 31, 98% 14A/15D/15S. (B) was caught today from a tip from another player, at level 20, 100% 15A/15D/15S.

I don't really see myself using multiple Gardevoir since they're so hard to evolve. Granted, they make a fantastic asset to a gym. Should I:

A) Evolve the 98% one, since it would evolve into a usable level.
B) Evolve the 100% one, since it would be unequalled in the long run. This would make the Ralts a very long-term project.
C) Wait for a higher level Ralts.

That being said, I hypothesize some sort of moveset change for Gardevoir (I persnally think Dazzling Gleam will be replaced with Moonblast). I would definitely want a Gardevoir BEFORE this change would occur.

Thoughts?

How much Star Dust you’re packing. If a lot, evolve the 100%. If not, do the 98, but keep the 100% for future use. In any case, you should probably walk it a bit.

I have stardust but evolving one of these will completely deplete my candy resources. I also don't plan on using any Rare Candies on non-legendaries.

If you need/want to use one now, opt for the level 31 one. If you just want a collector's Pokemon and you're worried about potential moveset changes in the future, opt for the perfect one, as you can always power up in the future eventually, but you can't improve IVs or get legacy moves if that does happen, and you'd rather have the potentially best (and legacy) moveset on a perfect one just because.

Right now I don't think Gardevoir is necessary for anything. Sure they're great for Machamp raids, but there other are alternatives that no one's rushing out to get a Gardevoir specifically for Machamp.

If you're just starting to solo level 3 raids and building up a team, Gardevoir is a good addition. If you already have a good Machamp team, it's not going to make it significantly better, if anything it might make it worse since it's weak to steel moves.

My current necessity is mostly out of fear of a rapid moveset change, as Blaziken's Stone Edge shows us. Gardevoir has access to Moonblast, and I could totally see this change happening.

Keep in mind Gen 4 brings Gallade. If one of those Ralts is male, you could save it for that. If the 100% is male, keep it for that and evolve the 98%. If it's female, evolve it. May cost more stardust but better in the end.

Do you have the candy to evolve or are you planning to use RC? If you have the candy than I guess it's not hard for you to get ralts candy. In that case I would evolve the L31 now to have a useful gardevoir, and the 100% when you get enough candy. If using RC, I would go for the 100% for a better long term investment.

I would evolve the level 31 98% one since she's ready to use. If you evolve the perfect one, your level 20 Gardevoir will just be a pretty trophy until you can power her up. Gen 3 just came out, so enjoy the level 31 one now and between egg hatches and wild pinapped catches, you'll have enough candies to evolve and power up the perfect one within 2-3 months.

I agree with this. Plus, if you already have 125 Ralts candy, I’d say they are relatively easy for you to obtain. I only have 13 Ralts candy, and not for lack of trying.

Enjoy the level 31 now; evolve the other one in a few weeks.

I went super hardcore for Ralts because I worried they would change moves. After this the candies will come a little slower.

Also we have super boosted spawn rates right now, which will end following the event. My area also has uncommonly Windy (Ralts) weather due to the seasonal Santa Anna Winds.

I agree with the L31 now, level 20 later plan. If they do downgrade the moveset (a big "if"), that 1 point of attack isn't likely to matter much. Also, they may upgrade her moves with a fairy quick; you never know.

Do the 98% now...if you already have that many Ralts candy then you are not going to be too long before you evolve the 100% too.
You can try it out and use it, and work on the 100%.

Normally I would say the 100%...but you have the candy so fast that it doesn't seem that big of a problem to evolve another soon enough, so it won't go to waste.

The candy was very tough for me to get...I think I've decided on the l20. Unlike TTar etc, Gardevoir isn't entirely essential rn, and it will make a fun long-term project. Thanks for the answers everyone.

I was kinda in the same situation. Have a level 23 perfect ralts and a level 31 95 iv 15/13/15 ads ralts. I had 130 candy and I decided on evolving the 100 iv one literally 3 minutes ago lol. I want to max one out to 40 so I rather work on the perfect and it's not much resources anyways from 23 to 31 for the perfect. Plus iv is forever. I powered her up a couple times with the remaining candy.
