Evolutions in eggs

Evolution of the babies now available are still possible in eggs?

Mixed reports so far, hard to know if they got "new" eggs. Also not fully convinced they rolled out everywhere at the same time, I saw no Christmas Pikachus yesterday but multiple today after receiving push notification.

Seems unlikely to keep both but you never know.

Whilst Niantic is by no means perfect, they seem to have Pokemon lure down relatively well. This would indicate baby pokemon would replace the former lowest mon in the species for hatching.

There is a brazilian guy who hatched a Pikachu on the 2km egg after the start of the event (and he got it on video, so yes). I don't know if it was something Niantic forgot to change, because it makes no sense for me to hatch both Pichu and Pikachu. Even less sense when you think that the baby one is on the 5km egg and the older on at 2km egg.

Otherwise, I've seen no Jigglypuff, Clefairy, Electabuzz, Jynx or Magmar being hatched. There are YouTubers who hatched more than 30 eggs after the kids thing started. Those Pokémon where not rare to hatch, so I think they got replaced by rare babies.

EDIT: The brazilian guy who hatched Pikachu got the egg before the event starts and only hatched it after. So ignore the first part. And I think that yes: they got replaced.

I don't know if it is allowed to post YT vids or other links on the forum, if not please tell me and I will remove my coment. Here is where I found that the evolution of babies are still on eggs.
