Evolution item limit?

Is there a limit for evolution item?
Currently I'm possessing 3 evolution items,
I was expecting an item to drop today from the 7 day streak but nothing came out!!
I wonder if there is a limit for the items or anyone possess more than 3 items which can prove that 3 is not the limit?

I have only got two items in about 400 spins. Maybe more. Is there a limit to the frustration involved? Nope!

I don't think there is a limit to number of evo items you can hold. But it apears that your 7 day streak no longer guarantees an evo item. (alot of people reported this and I haven't gotten one too at my last 7 day spin)

At the same time, drops from random spins seem to have increased a little.

Just when I thought Niantic did something smart by guaranteeing an otherwise rare reward for those who play every day.... The stingyness is a bit ridiculous, as you still need all the candies.
