EVENT: How's the Festival turning out for you?
Hope all is well, Trainers & Travelers.
Day 1, didn't really play, ran outside a few times for things on nearby. Terribly cold out.
Day 2 (yesterday), I caught 7 Lapras, many of which just being within blocks from us on nearby, so cool. I played about 12 hours, and grinded out 500 Karp ? to no avail of a Shiney, not 1. My friend grinded out about 600, and not 1 for him either. We stood for hours on hours at 2 different water biomes too. Anyway, all good. I did bomb on a few evolves (raichu, omastar), but I got some good ones too. Over all, still a great day. ?
Day 3 (today), I rested as my body is tired from all that walking. I'm going to go out for an hour now or so, and prestige a local gym to collect and grab some Pikachu and Magicarps, then it's daddy flow for me during the weekend. Oh, still haven't see a red Gyarados in a gym yet! Haha, bet spoofers are pissed! ?
Have fun guys/girls, be safe. ???

i have caught nothing but Magikarp..and about 4 squirtle.
(and the usual other very common water types)
Honestly im abit disapointed with it right now.
Not seen anything special really.
Saw a totodile on the nearby list ONCE and i was in a car unable to go for it.
Weird this is, im sure i live in a water biome...theres a lake in my local park that always has lots of water tpyes on a day to day basis.
So i was sure it would be good...a few dratini there, maybe a Lapras.
I have just not seen anything...
Yeah im obviously happy with the Karp.
I already have evolved a Gyarados awhile back, and had over 400 before the event, but it will be nice to stockpile as many as possible during the event.
(and...maybe a shiny one ? who knows)
Im from the UK. Its normally not terrible, not good...but not too bad either.
Like i said...the main thing is the park mostly, where in certain parts is definitely a fairly good water biome.
I have seen maybe 3 Dratini there in total..but they atleast can spawn there. So i expected it to be good around there.
anyways...I will have to keep going back there just in case i was there during a dry spell or something
Zero Lapras. Caught a few dratini the first night of the event, wish I would have spent a little longer hunting now.
Other than that I haven't really seen anything. Gonna keep looking for that Lapras though, can't give up yet.
Congrats on your catches, 7 Lapras is amazing. Btw I did see a red gyarados the first morning of event, someone around me was very lucky, looked to have good IVs by the CP/trainer lvl too.
Day 1 (night):
Caught 2 dratini
Caught 1 Lapras
Day 2:
Started farming magikarp. I managed to caught about 30, no clue where people find these big clusters of 100 karps. Perhaps it's because I'm riding my bike and often travel km without any Pokemon encounter.
Managed to get a shiny!
Day 3: hasn't been very special, another 30 karps in about 5 hours of playing. Hatched a Snorlax which I'm really happy with.
Remaining observations:
- Dratini seem to have disappeared
- Totodile seems more rare than Lapras
- Only one > 82.2% IV so far
Haven't caught anything rare, but I'm happy catching Magikarp all day long. I have really been having no luck catching high IV Magikarps and I still don't have a Gyarados. Before yesterday, my best Magikarp was a 85% IV one, but that was level 1 (10 cp). Yesterday I finally caught a 83% IV level 23 one, so that is clearly my best so far. Would still love a better one.
Honestly, right now I'm mostly excited about hatching five 10km eggs today. But knowing my luck they will all be Sudowoodos, Mantines and Miltanks as usual.
