Event eggs
Can 10KM eggs collected during this event still have all the usual hatch results, or are pokemon like Chansey and Larvitar exclusively in the special 2KM eggs right now?
I got four or five 2KM eggs the first few days of this event, but none since then. Two had Chansey in them, which was nice, but the others were just standard Oddish and such, so this event isn't doing much for my hopes of finally hatching a good Mareep and getting a decent amount of candy for it (Flaaffy, Ampharos, and Porygon2 are the only non-regional things still missing from my Pokedex, but I don't want to use all my rare candy for them). For a few days, I was only getting 5KM eggs, but now I've been piling up just the purple 10s, so I have seven now. I was planning to save any 10KM eggs until a probable Halloween event might make them give double candy, but that would be pointless if all that's in 10KM eggs right now is the junk like Skarmory and Sudowoodo, while the good ones are 2KM only during the event. I would just hatch these 10KM eggs now for the double stardust, if they're sure to be types that don't matter for candy.

not sure about chanseys, mareeps and larvitars, but i can definitely assure you dratinis are still coming out of 10ks. i have hatched at least 5-7 of them in a 3 day span, and that number may be even in double digits. i would hatch the eggs and keep hatching because i have accumulated 400k startdust since wednesday, im now at over a million total. 10k eggs are being given out at a high rate, and one issue i do have is the damn oddishes that have been coming out of the 2ks. i have only hatched one larvitar out the 2ks (which is what i want), but have hatched several chanseys and mareeps. to add insult to your injuries, i happened to catch a wild ampharos this morning/ early afternoon in the city. he spawned right by the apple store in central park.
Dratini is another one of the special 2KM eggs right now, right? So that might confirm that Chansey and the others can appear in both types of eggs right now too.
But yeah, if I had gotten these 10KM eggs earlier in the event, I would've just hatched them then and figured I'd get more, but I piled up all seven in just the last couple days. At this point, I don't think I would be able to hatch them until the event is almost over, so I wouldn't count on replacing them with more 10KM eggs anymore.
Maybe I should just hatch 3 or 4 of them now.
(Later - I did end up hatching 4 of them, got 2 Porygon, 1 Snorlax, and 1 Dratini, but I only finished hatching them about 20 minutes before the event ended, and all the stops and gyms I spun refused to give me any replacement eggs in time anyway.)
I've hatched 8 10K eggs during this event (all acquired after event start). So far I have:
Snorlax x3
Dratini x2
Aerodactyl x1
Miltank x1
Lapras x1
Pretty good haul - never hatched a Snorlax before this event. In my 2K eggs, I've gotten two Mareeps, but just regular stuff in the rest (a few Tyrogue, Oddish, Slowpoke).
Actually I was planning to do the same. Seems to me that 30 candy bonus is far better than a bonus of a few thousands stardust.
During this event, I or my girlfriend have hatched from 10k (all acquired during the event):
- Dratini (a lot !!!)
- Snorlax
- Aerodactyl
- (probably a Milktank, but not 100% sure)
I really hope somebody hatched larvitar or chansey form 10k :)
