Alright so for the past two days i actually caught high leveled Eevees with good IVs. I needed more Espeons so evolved both because i only had one. That one being Confusion/PsyBeam with a CP of 2509.
the other two came out as followed
B.) 2541 Confusion/Psychic
C.) 2485 ZH/Psychic
Here is my question... TMs are hard to come by, so for the 2509 one (we will call A) Is it worth a Charged TM. and is C.) worth a Fast TM just to get Confusion over Zen Headbutt. I just added B to show all my visible Espeons. Would like them to assist in Machamp Solos. Most likely will not evolve anymore Eevees to Espeon.

Zen Headbutt is still good. I wonder why people are saying they can't fit in 2 ZH between dodges, I'm always able to fit in 2 ZH with Exeggutor between Snorlax's ZHs, and still dodge.

And the mystery man who has been downvoting EVERY SINGLE person here who prefers ZH over C for Espeon, please stop it.

I was looking and clearly Confusion is better. Zen Headbutt is good. But basically Confusion does more damage, gives more energy, but Zen Headbutt is .5 seconds faster. Is it really worth it to put a fast TM on it for a solo? or should i keep as is?

Confusion is better in 75%, maybe even 90% of matchups.

ZH is only better if 2 conditions are met:
1) You dodge Quick Moves (Dodge All)
2) You are fighting something with a quick move that is slow enough that when you add in the Defender Delay you can fit in 2 ZHs, but only 1 Confusion

Unless you're rolling in TMs, you should evolve more Espeons. Why spend a precious resource on something you can duplicate by walking 10 km and spending 25 Eevee candy? This assumes Eevees are common in your area (in mine, at one point during gen1 I had over 700 Eevee candy, and started evolving 300-400 Eevees for use as prestigers and for the experience). So unless Eevees are very rare, make a few more and hope you get Futuresight. I plan on doing that as soon as I finish the next Blissey upgrade (and I won't be walking Blissey until defenders are meaningful again).

The problem isn't getting Eevees, it is finding them anymore. 1 in every 15 are above level 20 and 1 in every 7 or 8 of those have good IVs. In the end it is 50 Eevees or so before you find a good enough one to evolve to another Espeon, Candy isn't and issue and trust me i wouldn't mind having about 15 good ones. But getting good IV and level ones are hard anymore.

^ This. I don't even bother catching Eevees anymore unless they're at a really high level because I have over 1400 candies. Suffice it to say, I hardly catch Eevees these days because most of them are very low levels. (Well, that is I didn't bother until I needed to start grinding for stardust again. But even then, Eevees arent' my first choice because they can be so ornery.)

I actually prefer psychic over future sight because it is quicker. I always get hit trying to fire fs off.

I have never used Futuresight with Espeon, This site says Futuresight is actually .1 second faster than Psychic. So for now i only have you all and this site to try and breakdown moves i have not gotten before. Is it noticeably slower in actual battle though?

Hmm, interesting. I would never have guess they were that close. I have a fs and p Alakazam and psychic feels much faster than fs.

No i agree, it is a website... doesn't mean everything on here is factual. But i have 1 futuresight Zam i have not been able to use yet because of low level. So i will test that out too.

Gamepress says Psychic is .1 second faster than FS:
- Psychic: yellow flash 1.3s after move text;
- Future Sight: yellow flash 1.4s after move text.

How to evolve a Espeon after use the name trick? the only way is walking 10km with the Eevee and evolve him at night?. Thanks.

edit: evolve him during the daytime*.

Walk at least 10k with it so it earns at least 2 candies and evolve during the daytime. I think I read that this doesn't necessarily guarantee an Espeon, but it drastically increases your chances. But maybe that's wrong. If so, I'd like to know if it's 100%.

Yeah so, during the daytime but i read everywhere it must be through the buddy screen. i am 2/2 now so i want to say it is 100%. I did not understand "through the buddy screen" but apparently if you select your buddy on your character screen then click " walk with your buddy" and it takes you right to the Pokemon info. I did not know this going in i just looked like an idiot tapping everything on the buddy screen trying to make sure i did it right lol.

I don't think tapping through the buddy screen makes a difference, but I know it has to be your buddy when you evolve it.

Honestly, at those levels even the Psybeam Espeon is good enough DPSwise as long as Machamp doesn't have steel moves. Got pummeled yesterday soloing a double steel Machamp. Didn't realize how much of a difference the psychic and dragon resistance to fighting made a difference compared to simply neutral damage. I got a lot fewer charge moves off. Plus it felt like heavy slam hit faster than DP (could never dodge in time).

Also, since you can control if you get Espeon it's not worth a TM. It might be worth TMing another Eevee form because there is no guarantee that you'll get the one you want (Vap, Jolt, or Flare) with the correct moveset.

True, Plus the only time i soloed a Machamp obviously double steel moves. I got pummeled as well. If you face one and are not prepared you better phone a friend because no way you can solo that baby.
