The end for wigglytuff?

I was disappointed to see my Wigglytuff's slashed for 200 CP and my IV 93% Jigglypuff with half less of the CP from yesterday.

Does this ultimately means the end of Wigglytuff relevance in the game?

And I don't understand what kind of "balancing" is this with killing Wiggly which already had low CP and couldn't get a place in gyms.

The same goes for Victreebrel and Vileplume. They just made Vaporeon even more central to the game.

I agree. I DO love the change they made over all but you got a point. why would anybody buff vaporeon any more? at least they also buffed jolteon a lot which is my fav counter and works great if you dodge, also for gyarados

I saw some VERY high cp vaporeon in a couple of gyms today. They were noticeablely stronger. Also they why did they nerf my 100 iv venusaur :/

The buffed Rhydon and Golem will have little effect on defence since every player above level 20 had already at least two strong vaporeons. Now everyone has monster vaporeons who will wipe the floor with Rhydon or Golem.

I had a play at a gym this lunchtime and was surprised how well Rhydon did as a defender - the Vaperon I was using to attack won, but it wasn't a damage free walk over. Jolteon's power-up is noticeable when attacking Vaperon's too. What surprised me is how despite Gyrados's buff how weak he still is to much lower cp'd electrics - I took one down with an Electabuzz half the Gyrados's CP without bothering dodging.

I see 5 Gyms from my house.

Gyms are lvl 6 - 10 and every Gym has 3 - 5 vaporeons with 2.5K - 2.7K CP.

Well done Niatic.

A 2k eggxecutor or venasur will still take them down comfortably - they've not been nerfed that much, and the buffing of Jolteon and other electrics will help the balance.

It's not nearly as easy, my Venusaur was bumped down to 2100 and it takes substantial damage from 2700+ vaporeon now. It used to go through 2 high lvl EASILY. Very sad.

It's just like before xD....so what's the matter? Vapos are easy victims.

Wigglytuff is still probably the best prestige Mon in the game in my opinion.

Yes probably easier to prestige gyms wit the lower cp. Sad to see Lickitung get such a nerf - I liked them for prestiging but I think they might be a bit too weakened.

I disagree. Its too expensive to revive. The best trainers is a mon with super effective attacks and resistance typing on defense.

Yah I'm disappointed too about Wigglytuff and also how they nerfed most of my favourite grass Pokemon but I guess we'll all have to adjust.

Wigglytuffs HP is unchanged and will be an even more CP efficient trainer.

Also Niantic didn't specifically target any pokemon with buffs/nerfs as they just changed how base stats are translated from the main game series do asking why any specific pokemon got buffs or nerfs is pretty unproductive.
